A reduction of the viscosity of organic material up to 50-70% can be obtained after the treatment with the enzyme composition, according to the present invention (and preferably before the fermentation to form biogas) compared to the same treatment without the enzyme composition.

According to the present invention, higher-viscosity feedstocks can be used to replace parts or completely the lower viscosity feedstock in the production of for example biogas. This expands the number of potentially useful feedstocks and thereby reduces feedstock prices, making the biogas production economics become as well as incubation or enzymatic processes profit from the use of the enzyme composition compromising the results.
